Description
Description format is in accordance with FAR 5.207(c). (1) No National Stock Number assigned. (2) Supplied equipment/system must have undergone US Air Force testing at Lakehurst NJ and Warner Robbins Air Logistics Center, Aircraft Arresting System Engineer and his supervision must have signed-off as suitable equipment for unrestricted USAF use. This is an upgrade to an exisiting system; therefore, supplied system must be fully compatible with existing system manufactured by Engineered Aressting Systems Corporation. (3) Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation (ESCO), PL1652 Three-Roller Edge Sheave Conversion System (4) Each system consists of two three-roller sheave assemblies and two foundation installation kits. (5) Unknown (6) two (2) systems (7) System (8) RAF Mildenhall United Kingdom (9) No later than 31 March 2007 (10) 90 Days after receipt of order (11) Solicitation will occur via written request for quotation; anticipated award date is 29 Dec 2006 (12) NA (13) NA (14) The intended source for this acquisition is Engineered Arresting Systems Corporation. The current Aircraft Arresting Sytem at RAF Mildenhall consists of a two-roller deck sheave system. We intend to purchase an upgrade kit produced by ESCO specifically for this application. ESCO is currently the only manufacturer producing Aircraft Arresting Systems that have been tested and authorized for usage with US Air Force equipment. It is for these reasons we intend to award to ESCO. (15) All responsible sources, capable of meeting the technical requirements of this aquisition may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered by the the 48th Contracting Squadron.
