Description

The U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Upper Colorado Region has a requirement for construction services at the Crystal and Morrow Point Dams located in Cimarron, Colorado. This requirement is being procured in accordance with Subpart 14 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation under full and open competition. The Bureau of Reclamation intends to issue a Invitation for Bid for this requirement. The Government anticipates awarding a fixed price sealed bid contract. The work is located at the Crystal and Morrow Point Dams. The east portal Road located in the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park taking US Highway 50 to State Highway 347 into the Park. Morrow Point dam is located on US Highway 50 in Cimarron Colorado. The principal features of the work consists of 1) furnishing all materials, equipment, and labor required for and chip and sealing approximately 7.4 miles of the Crystal (East Portal Road) and approximately 2.4 miles of the Morrow Point access roads. The area to be coated is approximately 119,000 yd?, including 115,000 yd? of roads and 4,000 yd? of parking areas.; 2) The work also includes paint striping approximately 5.2 miles of roads with yellow double line pavement marking, together with crack sealing and pothole repair on both roads. The work shall be completed by no later than August 15, 2008. The Government anticipates having 2 Schedules in the solicitation with no options. Offerors are required to submit a bid for both Schedules. The Government anticipates awarding these schedules as one procurement at the time of award. The estimated price range for Schedule 1 is between $250,000.00 and $500,000.00. The estimated price range for Schedule 2 is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237310. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required. There will be a site tour scheduled (date, time, and location will be provided in the solicitation). All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
