Description: The Navy Institute for Dental and Biomedical Research (NIDBR) has a requirement for engineering expertise to finalize the Phase 4 redesign of the NIDBR developed fluorescence polarization meter (FPM). This requirement is being issued by GovWorks under the franchise authority of the Department of the Interior on behalf of NIDBR in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The Government intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Aviex LLC for this requirement in accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) and FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii). Aviex developed the initial phases for NIDBR under the prior purchase order; the subject order is a follow-on action. This is not a request for competitive proposals.
