- Description
- The Joint Contracting Command Iraq/Afghanistan - RCC Fallujah Iraq intends to award a sole source contract to Raytheon Inc., Network Centric Systems MESA Program Office PO BOX 1111 Fullerton, CA 92834 (714) 446-2502, to provide three Worldspace satellite audio broadcast channels to support I MEF generated audio from a designated broadcast facility. Each channel shall be a minimum of 32 kilo-bits per second (kbps). These channels shall be capable of being received only by satellite receivers authorized by I MEF. This will enable only I MEF units to receive the transmission. Contractor shall broadcast up to three simultaneous audio streams delivered to the contractor by I MEF. In the event of an interruption in the I MEF-delivered streaming audio, the contractor shall broadcast archived backup audio content, previously provided to the contractor by I MEF. Contractor shall provide 100 commercial satellite receivers with integrated speakers and audio output capability. These receivers shall be the model WorldSpace WSSR-11, and shall be shall be configured to ONLY receive the customized audio stream provided to the contractor by the I MEF broadcast facility. Contractor shall integrate satellite radios and FM broadcast equipment (station-in-a-box) into existing I MEF Cell On Wheels (COW) equipment. Integration shall result in received satellite streaming being down-coverted to tunable FM frequencies and rebroadcast broadcast locally to the COW. Integration shall take place at an appropriate facility at the discretion of I MEF. The total estimated value is $1,189,500.00. The NAICS Code is 517410 with a size standard of $13.5 Million.
