- Description
- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) has a requirement for expert services of a Financial Advisory Firm/Transaction Specialist with expertise in, but not limited to: bankruptcy and reorganizations, financial analysis, valuation, corporate finance, and pensions to assist in the monitoring of corporate events and transactions of insured defined benefit pension plan sponsors; and to provide financial analysis and negotiations support that will enable the PBGC to mitigate the risk of exposure to PBGC and plan participants. The firm shall provide strategic, financial, and operational improvement advice to PBGC and perform business reviews, financial or valuation analysis economic consulting, due diligence, risk assessment, specialized tax or accounting consulting, forensic or fraud investigations, and/or restructuring consulting. The firm shall assist PBGC in evaluating the financial condition of plan sponsors, reviewing filing notices under Sections 4041(c) (Distress Terminations) and 4043 (Reportable Events) of the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA), and identifying operational improvements. This contract shall be for a base year and four one-year options for renewal. Proposal submissions are due to the PBGC approximately four weeks after issuance of the solicitation. Telephone requests for this solicitation will NOT be honored. The solicitation document (RFP No. PBGC01-RP-07-0001) will be distributed through the fedbizopps.gov website. The site contains downloading instructions. All information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed through the fedbizopps.gov website. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring the site to assure that they have the most up to date information about this acquisition. The estimated issue date of this solicitation is three weeks after publication of this announcement.
