Description

The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity proposes to award to Interstate Blood Bank, Inc., 150 Jackson Ave, Memphis, TN 38105-2706, on a sole source basis, for the purchase human blood, packed cells O+ collected with cpda-1, and human serum, type A+. This is for the continuation of a current ongoing research project. Competing the requirement and awarding to any other source would result in substantial delays and disruption of a project already in progress and would also increase the overal l cost to the Government. This procurement shall be under other than full and open competition procedures in accordance with FAR 6.301-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writi ng to the Government and show clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Governments requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. If no written responses are received at le ast fifteen (15) days after the publication of this response, the purchase will be awarded without further notice.
