Description

The Army Contracting Agency, Southern Region, Directorate of Contracting, Fort Gordon, Georgia intends to obtain services for one year for the Security System at Eisenhower Army Medical Center hospital at Fort Gordon, GA on a sole source basis from T ech Systems Inc. The system, which includes Video Surveillance, Badge and Access Control, was initially installed into the 350 bed hospital by Tech Systems Inc at a cost of $243,000.00 in 2002, and has been expanded and maintained by this same contractor since. This sole source requirement will be procured under Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR Part 13 in accordance with the statutory authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Only One Responsible Source. Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Pa rt 12 to issue a base contract. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE OFFERS and a solicitation will not be issued. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition of this requirement would be advantageous to the gove rnment. If no affirmative written response is received, the award will be made without further notice. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. A determination by the government not to compete this award based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. RESPONSES ARE DUE NOT LATER THAN 2 JAN 2007, 4:00 P.M.
