Description

The USPFO for Arizona is currently performing market research. This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a Sources Sought Synopsis only. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associ ated with providing information in response to this announcement. Objective: The purpose of this Sources Sought Notice is to identify potential sources to supply wooden, re-usable shipping containers. The requirements for wooden shipping containers are: a. Meets or exceeds International Safe Transit Associations (ISTA) stringent test requirements. b. Meets or exceeds the West Coast Lumber Inspection Bureau lumber treatment requirements. c. Constructed with best A  C grade shop plywood. d. Metal link locks on each end for additional security. e. Each box (as indicated) is inlaid with a slotted foam material that not only holds the weapons in place but also protects them from damage during shipping. f. Provide dependable containers with long service l ife by use of military grade paint. g. Design that eliminates requirements for nailing boxes together. h. Interlocking structure for protection from inclement weather. i. Knock down construction on large boxes. j. Four-way forklift access. k. Reusable .
