- THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) ONLY. RESPONSE TO THIS RFI IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. THIS PROCUREMENT IS ANTICIPATED TO TARGET SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS ONLY UTILIZING THE APPLICABLE GSA FEDERAL SUPPLY SCHEDULE, 260-01. THE ANTICIPATED PROCUREMENT IS TO BE A TWO-PHASED DOWN SELECTION FROM UP TO FOUR VENDORS TO ONE PRODUCTION VENDOR. The Special Purpose Craft/Shallow Water (SPC-SW) vessels will be operated in shallow water areas with varying types of bottoms, along the entire coast of the United States. The SPC-SW shall be fully capable of performing all missions in 18 inches of water and in moderate weather (up to 4ft seas and up to 30kts of wind). The SPC-SW will be a standard Coast Guard multi-mission asset. Typical missions include Search and Rescue (SAR), Maritime Law Enforcement (MLE), and Port, Waterways, and Coastal Security (PWCS). This shore-based asset is not intended for Cutter deployment. SAR operations will typically consist of a 2 man crew, whereas MLE and PWCS missions will consist of 4 man crews. The vessel will have shock mitigating seating and there will be a gun mount forward and aft for PWCS missions. PLEASE SEE THE ATTACHED DOCUMENT FOR THE DRAFT REQUIREMENTS OF THE PLATFORM.
