Description
This is not a solicitation and will not bind the contractor or the Government in any way or at any time into a contract with any of the specified terms below. This is a Market Survey to identify potential Small Business sources to manufacture and del iver the New Technology Vertical Displacement Gyroscopes (gyros) CN-811 and CN-1314. The configurations of the CN-811 and CN-1314 are identical except the installation requirements: the CN-811 is used in the Army CH-47D Chinook helicopter and the CN-1314 i s used in the Army UH-60A/L Black Hawk helicopter. The gyros that the Army currently uses employ Spinning Mass Technology. The Army is interested in suppliers who can provide gyros utilizing New Technology [(e.g. Solid State, Micro Electro-Mechanical Sy stem (MEMS)]. The intent is to procure a drop-in Form Fit and Function (F3) replacement gyroscope using new technology in place of the spinning mass technology gyroscope without any modification to the helicopters. Performance Specifications are availabl e for the CN-811 and CN-1314 gyros and will be supplied to any potential manufacturers. (See below for contact information for specifications or if additional information is required). Requirements for consideration for this contractual effort are as follows: 1) This requirement has interest in businesses under the Small Business Program; 2) suppliers must obtain Interim Safety of Airworthiness Qualification (ISAQ) Certification approval by the AMCOM Aviation Engineering Directorate (AED), AMSRD-AMR-AE, Bldg 4488 2nd Floor, Redstone Arsenal, Alabama 35898-5000; and 3) suppliers must certify that the supplier can ultimately receive AMCOM AED full Air Worthiness Release Certification approv al and start delivery of these items around October 2007 . Supplier capable of manufacturing and delivering these items must so indicate, by writing to Commander, US Army C-E LCMC, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-CCS-N-AC, Building 1200E, Fort Monmouth, NJ 07703-5043. The response must include documentation such as Air Worthiness Release Certification (or schedule of this event) for the item(s). This Market Survey does not obligate the Government to award a contract nor does it guarantee any future contract. No telephone responses will be accepted, only responses in writing or email will be considered. For more information contact Daniel L Corwin, Daniel.Corwin@us.army.mil. The deadline for response is 12 January 2007
