- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Western Service Area in Los angeles, CA, is seeking competent and qualified contractors interested in providing offers to provide all services and material necessary to collocate the Las Vegas TRACON Frequencies from the Remote Transmitter Receiver (RTR) facility at the Warm Springs Remote Communication Outlet (RCO) Facility located approximately 3 miles S.E. of Las Vegas, McCarran Int'l Airport. Work will consists of, but is not limited to the following: 1. Complete building refurbushment, including structural modifications, new finishes. 2. Upgrading and replacing the existing electrical utility service and distribution system. 3. Upgrading and replacing the existing HVAC System. 4. Installation of three new 20-ft. self supporting antenna towers, Government Furnished Materials (GFM) and associated cabling, grounding and lightning protection systems. 5. Site Development and grading. 6. New surfacing. 7. Demolition of the existing chain-link fence and the installation of a 12-ft. high security fence. Special Notes: 1. The facility contains regulated materials and will require HAZMAT abatement Operation and Maintenance activities. 2. Work includes site preparation for supporting the setting up of a Mobile Communicaitons Vehicle (MCV) to transfer facility operations. 3. Work includes preparation for a third party (by Others) "turnkey" contract to provide and install a Marconi DC Battery Back Up System. 4. All work must be in accordance with the specificaiton and drawings. The Contract Performance period is 150 days. The projected contract award date will be in March 2007. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be conducted. The date and time will be determined at a later time. All interested contractors must attend this site visit in order to qualify for the contract award. The Norther American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237990. The following criteria to receive a Solicitation Package and/or an award is listed below: 1. The contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar and scope. 2. Past performance information must include facility where work was performed, contract number, date work was completed, point of contract name and telephone number. 3. Contractors must have active registration in the CCR before contract award can be made. Contractors can register at: http://www.ccr.gov. The Solicitation Package is expected to be issued the end of January, 2007. Contractors must submit their request, including the required documentation, no later than January 28, 2007. Contractors must provide the Company Name, physical mailing address, telephone and FAX numbers. Failure to submit all required information may deem the Request for the Solicitaiton as Non-Responsive.
