Description

SN: 4310014832758, this solicitation will result in a Firm Fixed Price 3 year Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract for air compressors, starters and receiver tanks for the Forward Repair System (FRS) Vehicle. The minimum and maxi mum quantities will be stated in the solicitation. Only air compressor assemblies in accordance with the Rock Island Arsenal Drawing numbers RIA149321, RIA148851, RIA149183 and RIA149496 are acceptable. The air compressor shall have 2 cylinders (2 stage) in a V-type configuration. The Air Compressor shall have a rating of no less than 50 standard cubic feet per minute (measured at the outlet) at no less than 175 pounds per square inch gage (psig), with inter cooler between stages and base plate mounted i n accordance with RIA149321. The air compressor shall be supplied with a 15HP TEFC motor, 3 phase, rated for 208-230/460V at 60 Hz and 190/380V at 50 Hz. The Electric motor shall utilize a NEMA 4 starter (per RIA149184). The start up kit shall include T30 select synthetic lube, a crankcase heater and thermostat kit. The air compressor shall have an inlet filter with a rating of 10-microns maximum. The inlet filter cover of the air compressor shall be constructed from steel. The air compressor shall h ave a discharge air temperature of no greater than 25 degrees Fahrenheit (13.9 Celsius) above ambient air temperature when operated in ambient temperatures of -25 degrees F to no less than 140 degrees F. The air compressor shall have a NEMA 4 regulating p ressure switch set for 150-170 PSIG cut-in, 175-195 PSIG cut-out, Ingersoll-Rand part number 54742770 and manifold block per drawing RIA149496. The air compressor shall have an over pressurization relief valve. The air compressor shall have a NEMA 4 low oil level cutoff switch and an air cooled after cooler. The overall dimensions of the compressor with motor and all the above components installed shall be no greater than a width of 25.75 inches, length of 44.63 inches, and height of 32.75 inches. The r eceiver tank (per RIA149594) shall be 24 inches in diameter, no greater than 52 inches high, 80 gallons capacity and rated at no less than 200 PSI. The air compressor pump heads and interconnecting piping shall be finished using finish 24.5 of MIL-STD-171 , the remainder of air compressor shall be painted in accordance with MIL-DTL-53072. Additional description for the air compressor, starter and receiver tank will be provided with the solicitation and the attached drawings. FOB is Destination Rock Island Arsenal. Approximate solicitation issue date is 9 Jan 2007. The solicitation with the drawings will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may down load it on or after the issue date from the Army Single Face to Industry website at https://acquisition.army.mil. Caution: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the government is under no obligat ion and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore, incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above Internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amend ments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for receipt of proposal may render your proposal nonresponsive and result in the reject of the same.
