- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT TO Motorola, Inc. to provide the following items: Motorola Supervisory Control and Data (MOSCAD) System UNDER AUTHORITY OF FAR 13.501(a)(1). Motorola, Inc., 7031 Columbia Gateway Drive, Columbia, MD. The dollar value of the award is expected to be under $750,000.00. The resulting award will be a Firm Fixed Price contract. The detailed requirements for the MOSCAD system are as follows: (1) MOSCAD Operational Capabilities (a) provide remote fire alerting over a Smart Zone trunked repeater for 10 fire stations, expandable to 15, with minimum pre-alert heart saver tones, zoned lighting, and bunk room alerting capabilities integrated to a total of 10 dispatch console terminals (Gold Elite or MCC 7500). (b) Remote monitoring, status verification, and fault isolation via a Smart Zone trunked repeater system for electronics equipment in 1 master site (version 7.X) located at Bldg 1164, MCB, Camp Pendleton, CA, 8 RF repeater sites comprised of a total of 36 repeaters to include Quantar repeaters, site routers, channel banks, and other RF/LAN sub-system equipment. Repeater sites are located at San Onofre Peak, Akron Hill, Buffalo Bump, NIAC, Mt Woodsen, Elsinore Part, Pleasants Peak, and Box Springs, Mtn. (c) Remote monitoring and status verification via a Smart Zone trunked repeater system for power generation systems (shore, solar, and generator) environmental control units, and site/building access points located at 8 repeater sites. Repeater sites are the same as listed in (b) above. (d) Remote monitoring and status verification via a Smart Zone trunked repeater for all Smart Zone back-haul microwave transmission system located at the same areas identified in (b) & (c) above. (e) Connection and transport of USMC Guardian remote sensor network applications. (2) Software?all service provider MOSCAD server/client (Remote Terminal Units) software required to enable full MOSCAD functionality to include software subscription support and licensing. (3) Spares?operational spare hardware to be used as replacements during emergency failure/fault isolation to include hard-drives, NICs, and other critical items of equipment. (4) Service Support?three yea rs of software subscription and hardware maintenance/warranty service support for all MOSCAD software and hardware. This Notice of Intent is not a request for proposals or quotations. No solicitation document exists. No contract award will be made on the basis of any Expressions of Interest (EOIs), proposals or quotations received in response to this notice. This purchase will be under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other Than Full and Open Competition as authorized under FAR 13.501. The anticipated award date is January 16, 2006.
