- This is a combined synopsis / solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in SUBPART 12.6. Sole-Source: INTENT TO PROCURE ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS WITH Global Business Network. This publication serves as a notice of intent to procure, on a sole-source basis, with Global Business Network for the services of Peter Schwartz to serve as a Subject Matter Expert in the area of scenario-based planning and conceptualization of ideas in a strategic conversation at various symposia to achieve feedback on the Naval War College?s analysis of the substance of a new maritime strategy. The Contractor will prepare and deliver a series of high level briefings during a set of symposia and executive seminars to help with Naval War College Maritime Strategy. This notice may represent the only official notice. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less then $100,000. The solicitation number is N00124-07-Q-0120. The period of Performance for this requirement will be time of award thru Jun 2007. The following additional information is applicable to this requirement: A) All incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR). The NAICS code is 541611. c) FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition and a statement regarding any addenda to the provision. D) FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, is applicable and must be submitted with your proposal. E) FAR clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. F) FAR clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. G) FAR 52.204-7, Central Contractor Registration (July 2006) is applicable to this requirement. H) The Proposal is due 08 Jan 2007 by 4PM.
