Description
This is not a solicitation announcement. This is a sources sought synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources of business classification including, Hubzone, 8(a), small disadvantage, service disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, and small business relative to NAICS 811219 with Small Business size standard of $6.5 Million. Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, a solicitation announcement will be published at a later date at the Federal Business Opportunity (FedBizOpps) website. Response to this sources sought synopsis is not considered an adequate reply to a solicitation announcement. All interested participant in a solicitation will have to respond to another solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Veterans Affairs (VA), Network 22 Logistics Office, is seeking sources for a potential contract to provide Preventive Maintenance Inspection (PMI) for MedRad Manufactured Contrast Media Injectors. The contractor shall be required to perform services and repair at the VA Healthcare Systems located at Long Beach, San Diego and Loma Linda, all in Southern California, and at Las Vegas Nevada. The intended contract period will be for a base year and four, one year option period to extend. Anticipated beginning date of contract will be on or about July 1, 2007. Interested participant to this sources sought synopsis shall provide the required information by responding to this notice. Information required shall include: 1. Company Name. 2. Address. 3. Point of Contact. 4. Telephone number. 5. Fax number. 6. Size of business pursuant to the following questions: (A) Is your company classified as Small Business? (B) If small, does your company qualify as a small, emerging business, or small disadvantaged business? (C) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act? (D) Is your company a certified Hubzone? (E) Is your company a woman-owned small business? (F) Is your company certified Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small or Veteran Owned Small Business? Responses to this notice shall be by e-mail to justino.surlajr@va.gov, or mail to the attention of Justino Surla, Jr. at Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office, Bldg. 149, 5901 E. 7th Street, Long Beach, CA 90822. Telephone response shall not be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 3:00 P.M., January 19, 2007. This notice is to assist the VA in determining sources only. Response to this sources sought announcement shall not be a request to be included to a prospective bidders list or to receive a copy of the solicitation.
