- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Ovid Technologies, Inc., Norwood, MA. The purchase order is for the purpose of providing access to three(3) databases which support CDC research. The databases are:CINAHL (Nursing and Allied Health), HAPI (Health & Psychosocial Instruments)PSYC-DB Loader and Ovid User Site License. Ovid owns the proprietary rights to this software and the user license. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Classification System Code is 511120. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide database access and license need to submit a written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
