- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention intends to award on a sole source basis a purchase order to Mary Ann Liebert, Inc., New Rochelle, NY. The purchase order is for the purpose to provide online access of 25 journals required by CDC scientists for agency research. Mary Ann Liebert, Inc is the sole publisher and distributor of these journals. The journals are: AIDS Patient Care and STDs, AIDS Research and Human Retroviruses, Antioxidants & Redox Signaling, Biosecurty:Biodefense Strategy, Practice and Science, Breast Feeding Medicine, Diabetes Technology & Therapeutics, Disease Management, DNA and Cell Biology, Foodborne Pathogens & Disease, Genetic Testing, Human Gene Therapy, Hybridoma and Hybriodomics, Journal of Aerosol Medicine, Journal of Alternative and Complementary Medicine, Journal of Computational Biology:A Journal of Computational Molecular Cell Biology, Journal of Interferon and Cytokine Research, Journal of Neurotrauma, Journal of Women?s Health, Lymphatic Research and Biology, Metabolic Syndrome and Related Disorders, Microbial Drug Resistance: Mechanism, Epidemiology and Disease, Obesity Management, Thyroid, Vector Borne and Zoonotic Diseases, and Viral Immunology. The authority for this sole source is FAR 6-302-1- Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The North American Classification System Code is 511199. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. However, firms that believe they can provide all of the Journals listed above need to submit a written notification of interest and capability to the Contracting Specialist within 15 days from the publication date of this notice. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement.
