Description
This is a sources sought solicitation only for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, as supplemented with addition information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation HSCG28-07-Q-3HB439 is issued as a TOTAL SET ASIDE FOR SMALL BUSINESS CONCERNS. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are available via internet address: http://www.arnet.gov.far/. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) is 541990 and Small Business size standard is $6.5. Quote price and total for the following items: 1. Scope of work to be estimated: Require estimate for the removal of all items in berthing area. Items are 8 sleeping areas, which are stacked 3 high totaling 24 racks. All berthing area lockers, which are 24 each. All berthing furniture. Any hold down studs, framing must also be removed. All epoxy decking and under-layment must be striped down to mare metal. Contractor must provide all labor, equipment and set up his own dumpster. They must keep the area clean daily. Contractor shall be aware that interferences in the way of work included, but are not limited to the following: deck drains, scuttles, furniture and piping. Prime the cleaned surface with one coat, 5.0-6.0 mils minimum dry-film thickness (MDFT) of an anti-corrosive epoxy paint conforming to MIL-PRF-2467 or MIL-PRF-23236, Type IV, Class 2. Industrial ISC Miami will require 5 days to finish installing all new epoxy decking. After completing the contractor will re-install the following: 2. Scope of work to be estimated: The contractor estimate will include the installation of all new (Coast Guard Furnished) berthing racks, lockers and furniture. These items may require fabrication and installation of hold down framing and welding of studs. It may require cutting some area and removal of epoxy decking and under-layment. To attach by welding studs and framing to steel decks. The deck berthing area is 30 x 20 which adds up to 600 square feet. The Government will award a contract to the responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation and is the most advantageous to the government price, quality, past performance and other factors considered. All offers will be evaluated in accordance with Simplified Acquisition Procedures FAR subpart 13.106. The provision at 52.212-1, instruction to Offerors-commercial items (Oct 2003) and 52.215-5 facsimile proposals (Oct 1997) apply to this solicitation. The provision of 52.212-3, offeror representations and certification, commercial items (Jan 2005), shall be completed and submitted with this RFQ. Complete and provide all information in this solicitation and provisions of all cited FAR clauses, to receive an award. The vendor must be registered in CCR (Central Contractor Registration Database), http://dlis.dla.mil/ccr/dafault.asp. Quotes are due no later than 31 Jan 07 at 3:00pm EST at Commanding Officer, US Coast Guard, ISC Miami (fp), 909 SE 1st Ave Rm 512, Miami FL 33131-3050.
