- The project consists of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, materials and transportation necessary to perform all the required work to provide chemical control of noxious and nuisance weeds in locations identified by the Government to properly ma nage the installation's natural resources and comply with Federal and State noxious weed laws on the Fort Riley Military Installation, Kansas. The Contractor shall provide the Government with herbicide spray application service according to recommended ra tes, seasonal scheduling, and pesticide label requirements to provide optimum desiccation and mortality of broadleaf weed and sericea lespedeza. The procurement acquisition is set-aside 100% for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification Sy stem (NAICS) code is 115112 and Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 0721. The contract will be for a Base Year period beginning on May 15, 2007 through September 30, 2007 and with three (3) one-year option periods. The Government anticipates a Fix ed Price Requirements Contract may be awarded as a result of this solicitation. Solicitation W911RX-07-B-0001 (IFB) will be issued on or about January 18, 2007 with a bid opening date of 30 days after issuance of the solicitation.
