- Description
- The National Library of Medicine (NLM) of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) proposes to procure from Accelrsys Incorporated, 9685 Scranton Road, San Diego, California 92121. The requirement consists of the acquisition of maintenance support and services for existing software licenses. The software and licenses allow NIH to achieve a more robust and enhanced environment for the users of the Enterprise Open System. The Period of Performance for this acquisition will last for a period of one year (12 month). The requirement may be renewed. This acquisition is less than the Simplified threshold. This support will be performed under the warranty. Accelrsys Incorporated is the only party known to NIH that can meet the above requirements for the existing network/system. A Sole Source is warranted to maintain the continuity of the environment, avoid service disruptions, and provide the best value to the government. This is not a solicitation for competitive proposals. However, if any other interested party believes that it can meet the requirements it may submit a statement of capabilities. The capability statement and any other information furnished must be in writing, and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow NIH to determine if the party can meet all of the foregoing requirements. Offers must also be accompanied by descriptive literature, warranties, and/or other information that demonstrates that the offer meets all of the foregoing requirements. Capability statements and related materials must be received in this office by 4:00 p.m. EST on the closing date of this announcement. The determination to compete or not compete the proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
