- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS for an Enhanced Care Medical Station (ECMS) bed. This requirement is unrestricted in terms of company standing and NAICS. All companies that can provide this product will qualify. Please submit the firm's name, address, company contact name, telephone number, email address, a brief written description that demonstrates the firm's capabilities as to provide the product/services listed in the DESCRIPTION. Also include you company?s business size and classification (Other than Small Business, HUBzone, Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), etc) if you believe your firm has the experience and the capabilities to provide the product/services listed in the DESCRIPTION below. Please submit questions regarding this Sources Sought Notice via email to John Peters at John.Peters@psc.hhs.gov by 11:00 am, Eastern time, January 18, 2007. Answers to questions will be posted in an amendment to this Notice no later than January 22, 2006, if any. DESCRIPTION: The ECMS bed should be: portable, folding, aluminum frame bed with mattress suitable for temporary to mid-term use by individuals with special needs in a deployed Federal Medical Station. The ECMS will be used at a deployed Federal Medical Station where traditional shelter bedding is contradicted by medical needs or physical condition. The ECMS will meet or exceed the following specifications: Usable dimensions: 18? H x 32? W x 81? L 2? foam mattress with antimicrobial, hypoallergenic, and flame retardant cover Weight capacity: 400 lbs minimum 2 position head elevator 2 position Trendelenberg type foot elevator Options for side rails, and 4? mattress, and an integrated IV pole.
