Description
The FAA New England Region has a new construction effort to furnish all labor, material, supplies, and equipment (except for specified FAA furnished materials) for (1) the construction of a Runway End Identifier Light (REIL) System to serve Runway 15 (Item 0001) at North Central State Airport, Pawtucket, Rhode Island; (2) for the construction of a REIL System to serve Runway 23 (Item 0002) at North Central State Airport, Pawtucket, Rhode Island; (3) for the construction of a Precision Approach Path Indicator (PAPI) to serve Runway 15 (Item 0003) at North Central State Airport, Pawtucket, Rhode Island; and (4) for the construction of a PAPI to serve Runway 23 (Item 0004) at North Central State Airport, Pawtucket, Rhode Island. The performance period is sixty (60) calendar days. This project is a 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238210 with a size standard of $13M. Contractor must have successfully completed similar projects both in dollar amount and scope. The price range is $100,000 to $250,000. Performance and Payment bonds are required. A site visit will be conducted on Thursday, January 18, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. All Offerors attending site visit must contact Cecelia Castillo at 603-881-1255 at least 24 hours before site visit. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has programs to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment, and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80 percent guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are also available under the DOT short Term receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
