- Description
- The Defense Supply Center Philadelphia (DSCP) is a Primary Level Field Activity and Inventory Control Point (ICP) of the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Department of Defense (DoD). DSCP intends to extend the Wood Products Prime Vendor (WPPV) Contract SP0500-01-D-BP08, Northwest Region, for a period not to exceed six and half months from its terminal date while the new competitive initiative is pending. The contract will be extended from January 19, 2007 to August 1, 2007. The WPPV contract is an indefinite quantity contract for the supply of various wood products in support of both military and other federal customers. Based on available data from the effective date of contract, the estimated value for the extension is $893,660.00. Sylvan Forest Products is the incumbent and will be retained for the extension based on the existing infrastructure (warehouses/inventory/transportation), relationships with the customers (order tracking/problem resolution/technical guidance) and the Information Technology (IT) (on-line ordering, receipt and processing systems/EDI transactions) requirements of the contract.
