Description

U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) anticipates contracting with Champion Aerospace, Inc., 1230 Old Norris Rd., Liberty SC 29657-3508 for the Transformer Rectifier Units (TRU), P/N 28VS240Y-31, NSN 6130-01-541-6138 used on the MH-47G, or any other aircraft fielded for USSOCOM. The proposed action is for a commodity for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority FAR 6.302-1. Firms that feel they can provide this product are encouraged to identify themselves. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal, however, the Government will consider all proposals received by the specified due date (in accordance with FAR 5.203(a)). A determination by the Government not to compete this acquisition is solely within the discretion of the Government. The estimated release date of the solicitation is 16 January 2007. This is considered to a commercial acquisition as defined by FAR 2.101 and FAR Part 12 procedures will apply. You may request a copy via e-mail to awatson@tapo.eustis.army.mil. See Note 22.
