Description
Descritpion of Work The Buffalo facility of the VA Western New York Healthcare System has a requirement for supply and delivery of radiopharmaceuticals. The Contractor must be capable of supplying Nuclear Medicine with required cold kits approved for nuclear medicine use as needed by the VA. The Contractor must accept daily orders, and have them calibrated within the time period that the VA requires and instructs of them. The Contractor is responsible for delivering the material at least twice a day, the first drop off occurring between 6:00am and 7:00am. Weekend and emergency deliveries are also required. All materials will be ordered as required, and all orders will be placed directly with the Contractor by the Radiology/Nuclear Medicine Service. The pharmaceuticals must be contained in a syringe with the patient's name and/or description of the order, as well as the dosage amount clearly labeled. Any materials that are not delivered properly will not be accepted by the VA. The Contractor is also responsible for delivering the material in accordance with the shipping protocols required by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission. These standards include the requirement that all material being delivered must be delivered inside a lead pig, locked in a dose appropriate ammo can. All packaging of radioactive material MUST BE clearly labeled RADIOACTIVE on the outside of the carton it is shipped in. Radiopharmaceuticals to be provided include, but are not limited to; Pertechnetate, Mag-3, I-123 caps, MDP, DTPA, I-131 caps, Sestamibi, Sulfur Colloid, Neurolite, Thallium-201, Gallium, TcHMPAO White Blood Cells, Cold Pyrophosphate, Ultratag Kits, Ceretec Vial, Aerosol Tubing. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 325412, with a small business size standard of 750 employees. The government intends to award an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity Multiple Award contract. Please direct all questions to the Contracting Officer.
