Description
Presolicitation Notice Date Submitted: 15 May 2006. Solicitation FA8104-06-R-0448. Valve Assembly for F101-102 Engine. Item 0001, New Manufacture. NSN 4810-01-143-8543JF, P/N: 721599D. Destination: Tinker Air Force Base OK 73145-3032. Delivery: 28 Sep 2007, Quantity 13 each. Qualification requirements exist. The government does not own the data or the rights to the data needed to purchase this part from additional sources. This part also requires special tooling and test equipment that the government does not own. Qualification requirements are set forth in the OC-ALC Source Approval Information Booklet. Due to the complexity and criticality of this part, only actual manufacturers that have successfully completed all testing required by the original company responsible for the design, can be considered approved sources for this item. The approximate response date will be 14 Jul 2006. The anticipated award date will be 31 Aug 2006. MANUFACTURER: Hamilton Sundstrand Corp. Approved Sources: Whittaker Controls Inc. No telephone requests. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requester is acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process. Interested parties are invited to call the Ombudsman at (405) 736-3273.
