Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make a single award for the purchase of Time and Attendance Software Product. The requirements are: 1 EA - Time and Attendance Unit to include the following: 100 EA - Professional Edition Employee Licenses, 20 EA - Professional Edition User Licenses, and 1 EA - Auto Import Module; 15 EA - RT Ethernet Proximity; 15 EA - POE Power Over Ethernet Adapter; and 150 EA - Proximity Badges. The minium requirements and salient characteristics for the Time and Attendance Software Product are as follows: Business Characteristics to include: Must be capable of administering employee time and attendance information; Must be scalable in order to handle employee growth and diverse shift scheduling; Must provide reporting capabilities - both standard reports and ad-hoc reporting are preferred; Must provide the ability to determine which employees are ?clocked in? and which are ?clocked out?; and Must provide the ability to enter and retrieve data in real-time. IT Characteristics to include: Must be capable of providing or interfacing with a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory - Novell?s e-directory is the preferred solution; Must provide accountability solutions thru the use of biometrics and/or proximity card technology; Must be capable of executing on workstations with a Windows operating system - Microsoft Windows XP is the preferred Operating System; For server components, must be capable of executing on a Windows Server platform - Windows Server 2003 is the preferred Operating System - If a mainframe enterprise version is available, must be able to execute on an IBM Z/OS platform; Database must be a Relational Database Management System (RDMS) using DB2 or SQL Server - Ability to integrate with Operating System/390 DB2 a major plus; and Database must support Open Database Connectivity (ODBC) or Java Database Connectivity (JDBC). Web-Based Systems Characteristics to include: Capable of being installed and deployed as a web application; Must be compatible with Internet Explorer 5.5 or later; Must be compliant and able to execute on the Java 2 Platform Enterprise Edition (J2EE) - a 3 tiered (web server, application server, and database server) solution is preferred. Faith-Based and Community-Based Organizations can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible. The solicitation will be available on or after January 11, 2006, and will be distributed solely through the General Service's Administration Federal Business Opportunities web site http://www.fedbizopps.gov/. The site provides downloading instructions. All future information about this acquisition, including solicitation amendments, will also be distributed solely through this site.
