Description
The purpose of this modification is to correct date errors in the original posting. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), has a need for technical support to complete dose reconstructions, process Special Exposure Cohort (SEC) petitions, and perform other related activities to support NIOSH?s responsibilities under the Energy Employees Occupational Illness Compensation Program Act (EEOICPA) of 2000. The major elements include: (1) identify data relevant to reconstructing radiation doses and evaluating SEC petitions; (2) claimant communications; (3) dose estimation and reporting; (4) prepare SEC petition evaluations; and (5) technical and program management support. An overview of the previous NIOSH work under this Act can be found at the website - http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/ocas. This requirement is being solicited on a full and open competition ?unrestricted basis. The CDC expects to award a single cost reimbursement plus award fee type contract, and the period of performance is expected to be five years from date of award. The complete solicitation document, and reference material, if applicable, will be available for downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov on or about February 16, 2007 and proposals will be due on or about March 30, 2007. No verbal or written requests for copies will be accepted.
