Description
Notice of Intent to award as a sole surce requirement to Rio Hondo Community College for the use of a firearms qualification range in the Los Angeles, CA area. Vendor location is required to be located between the Loas Angeles International Airport and the City of Long Beach. An estimated amount of between 1000 and 1400 officers must qualify 3 times per year. The range must be available to use at least three full days per week, Monday through Friday between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM. Once a quarter (every 3 months) the range must be available for night firing requirements between the hours of 12:00 noon and 10:00 PM. Range must have the ability to accomidate 24-30 shooters per day with at least 12 shooting lanes that are at least 25 yards deep. Shooting lanes must be equipt with automated turning targets. The range location must also have a training room adjacent to the range with audio visual and mats for baton/oc spray training. Facility must also have a locked storage room set aside for use by Customs and Border Protection (CBP) to store ammo, targets and related equipment. Space should be approximately 1,000 square feet and secured for access by CBP only. This proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of 6.302-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals, however, all proposals received by the closing date and time will be considered for future requirements. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
