Modification FedBizOpps Notification Date: January 12, 2007 To all interested parties: The Bid due date has been extended from 15 January to 19 January, 2007. Bidders will also be required to submit a Bid Bond (25% of the Bid price) at the time of their Bid submittal. An amendment to the RFQ will be issued early next week providing additional information and incorporating these changes. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) Program Office:Office of Security Technology Executive Summary Request for Information (RFQ) on the electrical work to be performed at JFK (Terminal 1) 1.0 Introduction The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Transportation Security Administration (TSA) has requirements to provide 480 VAC electrical outlets and electrical work necessary for the installation of three (3) GE CTX-5500 EDS scanners in the lobby area at John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK), Terminal 1. TSA, in compliance with the provisions identified in AMS, has determined this is a small business set aside. The contractor must be capable of getting bonding and have commercial electrical experience working in public space during operational hours to be considered for this award. The contract award will be a firm fixed-price performance-based contract. All work is to be performed during non-operating hours as defined by the terminal operator. Value of all work to be performed is estimated to be under $90,000. 2.0 Purpose The installation of CTX-5500 at JFK International airport, terminal one (1) is to address a Safety and Optimization Issue with the current baggage screening solution in place. 3.0 Procurement Plan 1. Three (3) recent references (within the last 3 years) of commercial jobs similar in size and scope Award shall be made to lowest offeror meeting minimum requirements as specified in the RFQ Note that this is a formal request for quote.
