- HSCG87-07-R-643213. Contractor shall furnish all equipment, materials, transportation, and labor to install new power and telephone services at U.S. Coast Guard Loran Station Tok, Alaska. The new services shall be installed in a new trench independent of the existing station services to provide continuity of station operations. Work shall include the following: (1) Install new medium voltage wiring between utility service point and the a new service transformer located external to the station building, and low voltage wiring between the service transformer and the main station switchboard, and (2) Telephone conductors, conduits & connections installed in the same trench as the power conductors and terminated at the existing utility connection point and existing telephone backboard in the station building. The utility service points and the station building are approximately 1900 feet apart. The new utility service route is through a high power transmitter antenna field and special procedures shall be required to only interrupt 4 percent of the ground radials at any one time. The conduit, cables, and installation practices shall meet the requirements of Alaska Power and Telephone Co. The required completion date for all site work is July 14, 2007. The estimated cost range is between $100,000 and $250,000. See the solicitation for bonding requirements. This procurement is issued as a 100 percent small business set-aside. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code is 237130 and the applicable size standard is $31.0 million dollars in annual receipts for the past three years. All responsible small businesses may submit a quotation. This solicitation will not be issued in paper form. Any amendments issued to the solicitation will be posted on this website. Firms must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database and FEDTeDS database to be able to access the technical data package.
