- POTENTIAL ACQUISITION OPPORTUNITY FOR A SMALL BUSINESS, UNIFORM ALTERATION AND TAILORING SERVICES, USCG ACADEMY, NEW LONDON, CT. In an effort to enhance opportunities for small businesses the USCG Academy is performing preliminary market research to gauge the level of interest and capabilities of small businesses with regards to an upcoming acquisition for uniform alterations and tailoring services at the USCG Academy, New London, CT. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF REQUIREMENT is as follows: The contractor shall provide all uniform alterations and tailoring services onboard the USCG Academy. Services shall be performed in accordance with the USCG Uniform Regulations and USCG Fitting Manual. Specific information regarding the contract will be announced later. The contract will have a base year and four option years. A site visit is scheduled for 25 January 2007; all interested parties are required to reserve a spot for the site visit no later than 22 January 2007, by contacting CWO Rodney Medders at (860) 444-8245.
