- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Otisville, NY intends to make a single award to a responsible quoter for a non-personal service contract for a Special Learning Needs Instructor to provide literacy instruction and special learning needs testing to the inmate population located within the confines of a male federal correctional facility. The requirement for Special Learning Needs Instructor shall consist of one position working an estimated 6 hours per week. The individual will instruct two (2) three hour sessions per week for a maximum of 100 sessions per year. Sessions will normally be scheduled for evening hours, Monday through Friday. Alternate times and/or weekend hours may be available based upon the institutions needs and mission. The schedule will be mutually agreed upon by the contractor and the Supervisor of Education. It is anticipated that this award will be awarded for the base year and four option years. The contractor must have a Masters Degree in Special Education, state issued teaching credentials and at least one year of experience in the field of teaching. Contractor must also have experience administering and interpreting the Woodcock Johnson III Test of Achievement. This solicitation will be made available on or about January 19, 2007, and will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities website: http://www.fbo.gov.
