This is a SOURCES SOUGHT synopsis only. The purpose of this synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (hubzone, 8(a), small, small disadvantaged, veteran owned, service disabled veteran owned, woman owned, or large business relative to 2002 NAICS Code 311613 (size standard 500 employees). Responses to this synopsis will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions - see submittal requirements below. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, the Government intends to publish a solicitation online at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/ Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to the solicitation announcement. All interested offerors will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to responding to this sources sought announcement. The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network 22 Logistics Office, is seeking sources for a potential consolidated contract to provide all labor, containers, equipment, transportation and required reports for tankage of biohazard free animal carcass collected from various VA research facilities in Southern California at VA San Diego, VA Greater Los Angeles (West Los Angeles and Sepulveda) and VA Long Beach. The intended contract will be for a base year with the Government's right to extend the contract in one-year increments for a possibility of up to four option years. Response to this notice must include company name, address, telephone and facsimile numbers, point of contact, email address, size classification of business pursuant to North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) and must respond to the following questions: (1) Is your business large or small? (2) If small, does your firm qualify as a small-emerging business or a small disadvantaged business? (3) If disadvantaged, specify under which disadvantaged group and if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act. (4) Is your firm a certified "Hubzone" firm? (5) Is your firm a woman-owned or operated business? (6) Is your firm a certified Service Disabled Veteran Owned or Veteran Owned business? This is not a request for proposal and in no way obligates the Government to award any contract. Responses to this notice shall be mailed, emailed or faxed to the attention of Larry R.
