The port city will be identified in the RFQ. The Government of Egypt will provide a freight forwarder at the port that will arrange delivery, at no cost to the contractor, to Egypt. The tractor and trailer must be delivered together to the designated port. A purchase order will be issued to the responsible contractor submitting the lowest priced quotation for the items that meet or exceed the salient physical, functional, or performance characteristics. The Contracting Officer will evaluate equal products on the basis of i nformation furnished by the offeror or identified in the offer and reasonably available to the Contracting Officer. The tentative date for issuance of the RFQ is January 25, 2007. The tentative date for receipt of quotations is February 21, 2007. The ten tative date to issue the purchase order is March 2, 2007.
