Description
The Walla Walla District requires the purchase of acoustic telemetry components compatible with existing CENWW owned systems for juvenile salmonid research purposes at McNary Dam. These components include: Item 1: Model 295-X Acoustic Tag Data Logger (12 each) Item 1a: Model 295-X Acoustic Tag Data Logger (ATDL) 5 units Item 1b: Hydrophone Splitter option for Model 295-X ATDL to permit two model 590 hydrophones to be connected to the ATDL 5 units Item 1c: Flash Drive 1 GB for data transfer for Model 295 ATDL. 5 units Item 1d: Extender Box w/USB port for Model 295 ATDL 5 units Item 1e: 50 ft. battery/IO cable to attach Model 295 ATDL to Extender Box and 12 VDC battery 5 units Item 1f: Acoustic Tag software data collection user interface included (PC required). Mark Tag software for viewing *.RAT file tag tracks is also included Item 2: Model 490 Acoustic fish tag programmer (1 each) Item 3: Model 492 Acoustic Tag detector (2 each) Item 4: Model 690-50 hydrophone cable (12 each) Item 5: Model 590 (330 degree) Hydrophone (48 each) Item 6: Model 795m micro acoustic transmitters (3,100 each) Item 7: Model 795E micro acoustic transmitters (6,680 each) Item 8: Model 795G micro acoustic transmitters (25 each) Item 9: Model 795X micro acoustic transmitters (25 each) Item 10: Model 290-12 Acoustic Tag Receiver for 12 hydrophone capability, includes one copy of HTI data collection and user interface with no hardware key required, software installation and testing (5 each.) Item 11: Model 690-500 Hydrophone Cable (40 each) Item 12: Bench Check equipment used in 2006 (5 ATR's each, 95 hydrophones each, 145  500 ft hydrophone cables each, 19 - 295-x2 data loggers each) Sole Source determination is based on the following: The Corps of Engineers requires the above components to be compatible with existing acoustic telemetry systems owned by the Corps of Engineers. These acoustic telemetry components and transmitters need to integrate seamlessly with the Corps existing HTI acoustic telemetry equipment. These systems contain proprietary information in the design of the equipment and can not be replicated. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, responses from responsible sources may submit a proposal which shall be considered by the agency by January 24, 2007.
