- The Acquisition Department, Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk intends to negotiate a sole source, firm fixed price, indefinite delivery type requirements contract to Aerotech Acrylic Concepts, Inc. for the cleaning and refurbishment services of F/A-18 A/B/C/D Aircraft Canopy Transparencies (60 ea single seat, 9 ea two-seat and 25 ea Laser Detection Tracking Pods) in support of Commander, Strike Fighter Wing Atlantic (COMSTRKFIGHTWINGLANT) at Naval Air Station Oceana and COMSTRKFIGHTWINGLANT DET, SQD VFA-86, Beaufort, SC. This acquisition will be accomplished using Contracting by Negotiation Procedures in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15 and in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, for Other than Full and Open Competition. The period of performance will be for six months with four one-year options. The solicitation will be issued on or around 31 January 2007. Estimated start date of the contract is 1 March 2007. The solicitation and subseq uent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www.neco.navy.mil or FEDBIZOPPS at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. NAICS Code 488190 applies. Only proposals from NAVAIR certified contractors will be accepted. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals, however, interested parties may contact Mr. Donald Harmston, of NAVAIR at (619) 545-9737 to inquire about required certifications. Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registeration (CCR) at http://www.ccr.gov. Online Certifications and Representations (ORCA) at http://orca.bpn.gov, will also be required.
