- The closing date for this solicitation is hereby extended to Thursday, January 18, 2007, 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time. Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Maritime Industrial Branch, Hampton Roads Division intends to contract for various fittings - (total quantity 1200). Complete description specifications will be provided in the written solicitation. The proposed requirement is being solicited on a small business set aside basis via Request for Quotation N00189-07-Q-N004 and shall be awarded under a firm fixed price conract utilizing Simplified Acquisition procedures as set forth in FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The applicable NAICS code is 423840 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. Delivery shall be FOB destination, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Inspection and final acceptance shall occur at destination. The date and time for receipt of offers is January 12, 2007, 10:00 a.m. Eastern Standard time. Contractors are advised that this solicitation is NOT available electronically via the NECO website. Requests for the request for quote shall be e-mailed to deedee.miller@navy.mil. FAX AND/OR PHONE REQUESTS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED AND WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. All requests for this solicitation shall include a complete mailing address, telephone number, fax number and authorized point of contacts. Important notice: DFARS 252.204.7004, Required Central Contractor Registration applies. Lack of current registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. Information may be obtained via the internet at www.ccr.gov or via telephone at 888-227-2423. NOTE TO OFFERERS: This procurement is part of the Navy?s Contractor Evaluation System Red/Yellow/Green Program. Award will be based on the contracting officer?s decision as to which offer provides the best value to the Navy (price, past performance, and other factors considered). While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final factors, including historical quality performance of the contractor being evaluated. Numbered Note 1 applies.
