Description

The U. S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) intends to issue a purchase order on a sole source basis under the authority of Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302, ?Other Than Full and Open Competition?, to Triton Imaging for extended maintenance agreements for Triton software and/or hardware on NOAA Ships Thomas Jefferson, Rainer, Fairweather, Rude, as well as Bay Hydrographer, TSWG and at Silver Spring, AMC, and AHB. Triton Imaging, Inc. is the sole developer and supplier of its software; thus, the only known source that can fulfill the continuation of maintenance agreements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. However, the Government will consider all quotes received within five (5) days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to compete as a result of quotes received is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
