Description: Project 228 Mechanical Fuels Reduction Project. Mow/mulch vegetation on approximately 105 acres on Bureau of Land Management Public Land. Mechanical equipment such as a Hydro-mower or Hydro-axe would be used to mow/mulch vegetation within the project area to create larger openings and increase the distance between clumps. A mosaic of mature oak would be retained within the project area to benefit wildlife, create diversity within the vegetation, and enhance visual aesthetics. This project is set aside for those contractor with current BLM IDIQ contracts for this type of work in the San Juan Area of Colorado. This solicitation will only be made available through the Federal Business Opportunities Website - www.fedbizopps.gov.
