- Description
- The intent of this project is to secure services to pre-commercially thin and remove from National Forest land thinning slash, snags, down logs, and existing slash piles in conifer stands for biomass utilization. As no wheeled or tracked vehicles are to be used off of existing roads to cut or remove vegetative material, all work activities are to be accomplished utilizing hand-held or manual equipment that utilize non-ground disturbing cutting and removal techniques. The project area consists of 105 acres with a contract length of 2 seasons. The project is located on the Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit in the McKinney/Rubicon area along road 14N34.
