- Description
- The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has a requirement for repair of the ASR-11 Encoder, NSN 5865-01-512-6746, Part Number BIC35-14G6. The ASR-11 Digital Airport Surveillance Radar (DASR) System is used by the FAA and DOD to control air traffic operations in a terminal airport environment. The BIC35-14G6 encoder is a critical part of the radar antenna. Repairs will be made in accordance with manufacturer's specifications. The ASR-11 Encoder (BIC35-14G6) is manufactured by BEI Sensors & Systems Company, INC. The estimated annual requirement is 25 each. Requirements include option provisions to renew for four additional 1-year periods. The proposed contract will incorporate Clause 3.2.4-34, Option to Extend Services, and Clause 3.2.4-35, Option to Extend the Term of the Contract. BEI Sensors & Systems Company has unlimited access to the proprietary data necessary to accomplish complete repair and testing of the ASR-11 Encoder and is the only source for the repairs of the ASR-11 Encoder. The FAA, NAS Contracting Team (AMQ-210), 6500 S. MacArthur Boulevard, P.O. Box 25082, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73125 must receive responses to this market survey, no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, Friday, January 5, 2006. Hand-carried responses (or responses sent by overnight delivery) shall be delivered to Room 313 of the Multi-Purpose Building located at 6500 South MacArthur Boulevard, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73169. Responses must be sealed and labeled as follows: Kelly Tillery, Market Survey No. DTFAAC-07-R-59521; due 2:00 p.m. CST, Wednesday, February 9, 2007. Responses must include name and telephone number of a point of contact. The FAA will not pay for any information received or costs incurred in preparing responses to this market survey. Final determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based on any information provided, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
