- The VA National Acquisition Center (NAC) will issue Solicitation 797-07-RP-0027, for the Influenza Virus Vaccine requirements for the Dept. of Veterans Affairs (VA), Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP), Health and Human Services Supply Service Center in Perry Point, MD (HHS), and Indian Health Service (IHS), for the 2007-2008 influenza season. Items and estimated quantities are as follows: 1) 10 dose multiple dose vial, trivalent; whole or split virus; 2007-2008 influenza season; for persons over 12 years old. VA - 200,000 vials BOP - 6,000 vials HHS - 35,200 vials IHS - 18,645 vials 2) Pre-filled single dose syringes w/plunger, trivalent; whole or split virus; 2007-2008 influenza season; for persons over 12 years old. VA - 600,000 Syringes BOP - 100 Syringes 3) Latex free, thimerosal free trivalent; whole or split virus; 2007-2008 influenza season; for persons over 36 months old. VA- 2,000 doses 4) Pediatric Pre-filled single dose syringes w/plunger, must be split virus vaccine (subvirion or purified surface antigen) that has been FDA approved and labeled with indications for administration to children 6 months - 35 months of age, preservative-free, 0.25 ml. IHS - 12,720 Syringes Award will not be based on an aggregate, therefore, award may be to more than one contractor. If proposals are equal, VA prefers a thimerosal free vaccine. Contractor(s) will be required to deliver the vaccine FOB Destination to Government facilities within the U.S. and Puerto Rico. On or after the issue date of 1/24/07, a copy of the solicitation may be downloaded from the VA Business Opportunities Web Site at http://www.bos.oamm.va.gov/. Offer due date will be on or about 2/23/07.
