- PR Number(s): 8145XXXXXXXXXXX, FA810707R0005 Item: 0001 Description: The MUSTANG is a weapon release system tester required to replace current aging tester, to include the Weapons Pre-load Tester (WPT) and the GWM-9. The testers will be used both on-aircraft and in the backshop at various B-52 operating locations. The MUSTANG is supported by an OCS, consisting of over 454 different cables. The cables will be broken into functional sets requiring sis separate cases for each OCS. For flexibility, it has been determined that each case will be the same size. Currently, the WPT cables are stored and transported in metal transit type cases. It has been determined that the same concept will be used for the MUSTANG OCS. Only Commercial new surplus material is acceptable. The solicitation FA8107-07-R-0005 issue date is approximately 02 February 2007. ?Electronic procedures will be used for this solicitation through FedBizOpps at http://www.fedbizopps.gov/.? This is a 100/% Small Business Set A-Side Competitive Requirement. The work shall be accomplished in accordance with the Performance Work Statement identified in the solicitation. The Cases are non-stock-listed. Only written or faxed requests received directly from the requestors are acceptable. All responsible sources solicited may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered. It is suggested that small business firms or other firms interested in subcontracting opportunities in connection with the described procurement make contact with the potential offerors (listed above) during the proposal development phase of the acquisition. Note: While price will be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final contract award decision may be based upon a combination of price and past performances detailed in the solicitation.?
