- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will NOT be issued. The purchase request number is F2VT7J7005A100. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses as those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-15. This procurement is a Total Set-Aside for Small Business. The North American Industry Classification System code (NAICS) is 334515, Instrument Manufacturing for Measuring and Testing Electricity and Electrical Signals, the size standard of which is 500 employees (Not to exceed). DESCRIPTION: Cannon L-63 Load Bank. REQUIREMENT: (1 each) Cannon L-63 Load Bank. Brand Name only. No OR EQUAL will be accepted. DELIVERY ADDRESS: Item is to be procured on behalf of the 290th Joint Communications Support Squadron, 9211 Marina Bay Dr., MacDill AFB (Tampa) FL, 33621. DEMONSTRATION THAT THE CONTRACTOR?S UNIQUE QUALIFICATIONS OR NATURE OF THE ACQUISITION REQUIRES THE USE OF THE AUTHORITY CITED ABOVE (APPLICABILITY OF AUTHORITY). The Cannon Load Bank L-3 System is the best possible product to support the 290th JCSS Tactical Quiet Generators. We currently have seven L-63 load banks at the 290th JCSS and have the requirement for one more. We need to keep all of our load bank systems the same for generator system and maintenance uniformity. The weight, size, and features all meet the 290th JCSS specifications which will keep all power production systems the same. Uniformity is important because it will allow all generators to be the same and interchangeable. Also, no further training will need to be provided. This will also allow us to account for the equipment on the same equipment detail and on the supply equipment account. Furthermore, it will also keep our entire generator configuration lists, aircraft load lists, and evacuation lists the same and uniform for all of our generators.
