- Description
- The work consists of the contractor furnishing all labor, material, equipment, supervision, work and facilities necessary to perform all operations, in strict accordance with specifications and applicable drawings. The following is a summary of work for Repair & Maintain Base Railroad IDIQ, located at Eielson AFB, AK. The project shall include, but is not limited to: 1. Replace deteriorated ties. Ballast will be added if required to achieve grade and new hardwood ties will be installed and compacted in place. 2. Remove substandard rail. Replace with new 115# rail. 3. Repair/Replace roadway crossings. 4. Other minor track maintenance including: switch adjustments, gauging of rail, spiking, bolt and/or hardware replacement, changing points, frogs, heel blocks, point protectors and welding/cutting rail. 5. All materials will be new and unused unless prior approval is obtained from the contracting officer. There will be no government provided materials. The resultant contract will be a firm fixed price indefinite delivery indefinite quantity contract for a total of five (5) possible, one (1) base year and four (4) option year periods. Guaranteed minimum on this contract will be $10K. Actual work requests will be issued on Task Orders based off line item unit prices. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 237990 with a size standard of $31 million. The magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. This acquisition is being solicited under full and open competition conditions IAW FAR 19.10, Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. THIS SOLICITATION AND ANY AMENDMENTS ARE PAPERLESS AND WILL BE AVAILABLE ON THE INTERNET ONLY. **NOTE: All contractors must be registered in the Centralized Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity. Contractors may access the Internet site at: http://www.ccr.gov to register and/or obtain information about the CCR program.** The solicitation will be available on or about 21 February 2007. A solicitation mailing list will not be maintained for this procurement, all solicitation documents will be available electronically and it is the responsibility of the offeror to register for notification of updates to this procurement via this web site.
