Description

1. The response time for W81GYE-06-R-0037 is hereby extended to 1200 hours January 24, 2007. 2. The following language is deleted from the special notes on page 8 of the solicitation: 8. By the submission of its offer, the Contractor agrees to permit unannounced safety and security inspections of its facilities, terminals, employees, and operational procedures by DOD civilian, military personnel, or DOD contract employees. 3. The following questions were submitted in response to Rail Repair Solicitation W81GYE-06-R-0037 by Boston Transit Group. 1. With the above in mind, how do you see unannounced safety and security inspections working? Would it be better to do pre-award site visits? AS STATED AT PARAGRAPH 1 OF THIS AMENDMENT, THE LANGUAGE IS DELETED FROM THE SOLICITATION. INSPECTION REQUIREMENTS ARE IDENTIFIED IN THE PWS. 2. How many cars were worked on in each of the last 4 years? 2003 = 126 CARS 2004 = 220 CARS 2005 = 200 CARS 2006 = 279 CARS 3. Do you have a breakdown of the numbers by tank vs. non-tank cars? 2003 = 68 TANK CARS, 58 NON-TANK CARS, 2004 = 56 TANK CARS, 164 NON-TANK CARS, 2005 = 40 TANK CARS, 171 NON-TANK CARS 2006 = 106 TANK CARS, 173 NON-TANK CARS 4. All other terms and conditions remain unchanged.
