Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitu tes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued as restricted under NAICS 336411, applicable clauses through FAC 05-15. This combined synopsis/solicitation is for a Fi rm Fixed Price Purchase Order/Contract for the inspection and repair of four (4) each Fuel Control Units (FCU) in support of the Guatemalan Government Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Program. This action requires the contractor to inspect, repair and apply S ervice Bulletins (SB) as expeditiously and cost effective as possible. Fuel controls will be inspected upon receipt as required by SB138. This inspection will determine extent of repair and if any over and above charge is required due to mandatory replac ement of the pump drive shafts. The repair of the fuel control units will require complete disassembly, and all gaskets, packings, fittings and other consumables are to be replaced. Service Bulletins 129 and 138 will be applied. Upon completion, the fue l control units will be returned to the Guatemalan Government with a warranty of 1 year or 1,000 hours, whichever comes first. The NSN of the Fuel Control Units are: 2195-01-005-9197 two (2) each and 2915-01-216-9779 two (2) each. Evaluation Criteria and Source Selection Considerations: Cost of inspection, repair and expedient delivery are key and equ ally important. Criteria should be repair and apply SB138 to as many Fuel Controls as funding permits. Product Assurance Requirements: Certificate of Conformance COC. Transportation Requirements: Upon completion, the FCUs should be marked and shipped to Guatemalas freight forwarder. Detail will be specified in the Statement of Work. FOB Origin.
