- This solicitation invites proposals for the Build out of a leased carrier annex in Vero Beach, FL located at 1551 US Hwy #1. The carrier annex will contain approximately 27,012 sq. ft. The work includes, but is not limited to, steel frame construction, concrete, masonry, carpentry, insulation, hollow metal doors, metal studs, gyp board, ceramic tile, resilient flooring, vinyl composition tile flooring, carpet, painting, store fixtures, landscaping, electrical mechanical, utilities and other work associated with postal facilities. Bonds must be received within 10 days from receipt of Intent to Award. Notice to Proceed will be issued no later than April 1, 2007. Cost range: $1,431,485 - $1,852,510 Construction. Time: 300 calendar days Issue Date: January 22, 2007 Proposal Receipt Date: February 21, 2007 Time: 3:00 p.m. No Proposal Guarantee (Bid Bond) is required but a letter from your bonding company and bank ARE required (see Offerors Submittal Information). A 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond will be required of the successful offeror. Minimum Requirements There are minimum requirements for this solicitation; failure to comply with the minimum requirements will be cause for disqualification. Experience: The Firm should have a minimum of 5 years experience in construction. Experience includes the offeror?s history of completing projects in a timely manner providing quality workmanship, timely payment of subcontractors and suppliers, developing a successful partnership with the owner and/or owner?s representative, and safety record as determined by their EMR rating. Experience should also include familiarity with local building, zoning and permit requirements, and restrictions within the geographical area. Minimum Years in Business: Your company must have been in business, under the firm?s present name, for a minimum of five (5) consecutive years. Financial Capability: The successful offeror must demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate bonding and sufficient insurance as required by this solicitation. Financial capability includes the offeror?s satisfactory working relationship with a financial institute and surety agency. Capacity/Resources: The successful offeror must demonstrate sufficient in-house resources to successfully complete a minimum of 12% of the work before subcontracting when considering their present workload.
