- Presolicitation Notice for RFQ # VA-528-07-RQ-0027 Title: Automatic Doors Service and Maintenance NAICS Code: 811310 Small Business Size Standard: $6.0 Million The VA Western New York Healthcare System, a part of VISN 2 of the Department of Veterans Affairs, has identified a need for a preventative maintenance and service contract for all of the automatic doors at the Buffalo, NY and Batavia, NY VA Medical Centers. Solicitation of this contract will be reserved for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. Before award of this contract is made, any prospective contractors MUST attend a mandatory walkthrough of BOTH the Buffalo and Batavia VA Medical Centers under the supervision of the Contracting Officer and Contracting Officer's Technical Representative tentatively scheduled for November 20, 2006. Solicitation terms will include all labor, equipment, and parts to provide PM inspections and full unscheduled maintenance for specified automatic doors at the VAWNY Healthcare Facilities. The equipment to be serviced are the automatic door operators, controls, mats, sensors, electric eyes and all other switching devices. The VA will maintain the doors, glass, crash bars, rails, fingerguards, door frames, locks, bolts and other door hardware. All work must be performed be an American Association of Automatic Door Manufacturers (AAADM) certified inspector.
